  28. There are several solutions to this problem. The one which I 
  29. personnally prefer is to use the DECUS UUCP to automatically call 
  30. the other site every couple of days (this solution does assume 
  31. that the other site is willing to allow a UUCP connection). The 
  32. files can then be sent by Email between the two machines. A side 
  33. benefit of this approach is that UUCP supports retries and a 
  34. fairly extensive script capability. The files to be sent to the 
  35. other system can be sent by BATCH jobs sending MAIL using the 
  36. normal VMS MAIL utility (in command line mode, of course).
