- There are several solutions to this problem. The one which I
- personnally prefer is to use the DECUS UUCP to automatically call
- the other site every couple of days (this solution does assume
- that the other site is willing to allow a UUCP connection). The
- files can then be sent by Email between the two machines. A side
- benefit of this approach is that UUCP supports retries and a
- fairly extensive script capability. The files to be sent to the
- other system can be sent by BATCH jobs sending MAIL using the
- normal VMS MAIL utility (in command line mode, of course).
