- My guess here would be to try and use the auto-dial feature. It should
- automatically do everything for you. If you're still leary about
- letting the computer do it, try this:

- ATDT (then the BBS number you want to call) <carriage return (cr)>

- Then the modem should dial out, and get either a BUSY signal, or a
- RINGING signal. When its ringing and the other BBS connects, the high
- pitch beep, just let it go. You should see text coming on the screen
- in a few seconds. If no text comes on the screen in 1+ Minute, just
- hang up... Something might be wrong with the BBS itself. Make sure
- that you have Kermit's defaults set to your specifications, ie, modem
- type, modem speed, etc. This should get you going pretty good. Hope
