- I had an old 300 bps modem from Commodore. Don't know what it was, all it said
- was "Commodore" on it. Anyway, check your modem and see if there is a switch
- on the outside of it. It should say "T" and "D". The "T" stands for talk, and
- my guess is, the switch is in that possition. When you hear the high-pitched
- squeel, move the switch to the "D" (for Data). It should connect then.

- You see, with a lot of these old modems, they didn't auto-answer or auto-dial.
- You had to do it manually.

- BTW, I used CGTERM on my 64 and it worked just fine for me. Alas, I don't know
- were you can get it now. Look for it.
