  12.      A customer with a pair of 3B2s is running OSI networking
  13. (with Starlan), and they are about to go with RFS to share disk
  14. files.  They also want to run rlogin and remote shell services
  15. between the two, but we hear that this kind of thing is only
  16. available via TCP/IP.

  18.      The cost of TCP/IP for two machines is not very much under
  19. $10k (!), and they are unexcited about this route.  I have used
  20. TCP on the 3B2 and have not been really impressed with the
  21. quality of implementation.

  23.      Anybody have any ideas on how we can do this?  I know so
  24. little about networking internals that I have no idea how hard it
  25. would be to convert the TCP/IP utilities that do this to the OSI
  26. business, but it would not surprise me if this is nontrivial.  It
  27. would surprise me even more if I were the only one who ever had
  28. this requirement.

  30.      Anybody got any ideas?  We don't mind rolling our own as
  31. long as we have some prospect of a reliable solution.
