- Related to the Falcon Bus width being 16 bits.

- I agree, I am not thrilled by this but I'll just keep the TT another
- year or so. (My wife is wiping the sweat from her brow)
-
-
-
- And on another thought ...
-
- The Atari lineup will look as follows:
-
- Processor Cost 85mb HD Color Monitor
- 1040STe $399.00 $500.00 $350.00
- Falcon030 $800.00 $300.00 $400.00 (low end multi-sync)
- TT $1200.00 $300.00 $400.00 (see above)
-
- Some people will agrue that monitors are not needed for the 1040 and
- the Falcon, because they already have a monitor. But to a new computer
- user they will need a slow monitor for the 1040, or a multi-sync for
- the Falcon. TV's are good for viewing animations but don't try and
- use them as a monitor.
-
- As strange as it may seem to most Atari Fanatics these are reasonable
- prices for the each machines target market. What we need is visibility
- in the market place. PC-Clones were not sold by IBM advertising them.
- They were sold by being compatible with, and even better than, the IBM
- PC.
-
- Macintoshes are not sold on advertising, they are sold on the basis
- of what they can accomplish for the user. The advertising just reminds
- you that they are still available. Something Atari should think about.
-
-
- Yet another thought. <- YAT (Could this be the next Unix command?
-
- Just enjoy your machine. My systems do everything I want, at a price I
- can afford. (My wife has other opinions on this)
