- I have a problem with my Wangtek 5150ES and my Atari ST (host adapter is ICD
- Advantage-Plus ST). On the same SCSI bus is a 105 MB Quantum drive that works
- just fine.
-
- Using the TAPETEST program that comes with TAPEBIOS it appears that I can
- write to the tape (I verified that on a SUN Sparc), but I cannot read! When I
- do a read, the tape moves (so the command apparently makes it to the drive),
- but the TAPEBIOS software hangs waiting for a status byte. After a couple of
- minutes the software times out, but the SCSI bus is still busy (I can no
- longer access the disk drive). The data buffer in ST memory has not been
- written to (still filled with zeroes).
-
- Do you have an idea what is wrong here? Is my software broken? Did I
- misconfigure the drive?
-
- Best regards,
- -Roger
