- Robert Morrison asked about ROM select jumpers relating to installing
- TOS 2.06..
-
- Those "resistors" marked W102, W103, etc. aren't resistors at all..
- they're just jumper wires (thus the designation "Wxxx") which are
- manufactured to resemble resistors so automatic component insertion
- machines can handle them. (You could verify that with an ohmmeter).
-
- You could simply snip them off the pc board and solder plain wires
- into the correct jumper pads for TOS 2.06.
-
- The holes for the other jumpers are likely to be filled with solder
- from the wavesoldering manufacturing process, so that would have to
- be removed first.. no problem for anyone with soldering experience.
