- It seems that ATARI may have had it together all along, but kept it a secret,
- which caused it to loose support and... well you know the rest.
-
- I was reading some messages on the stuff available for the ST, what really
- interested me, as well as surprised me, was the graphics cards for the ST. I
- own an ATARI 1040 STE... You can upgrade it to 4 megabytes of ram, put a high
- resolution/color card in it, get tos 2.07, get a 25 mzh accellerator, 1.44
- megabyte disk drive, big hard disk, multi-sync monitor, and some programming
- software like Lattice C for the ST, and you have a machine which is "up there"
- with the rest, and a programmable machine with many possibilities.
-
- Of course, I will wait for the Falcon instead.. I am happy to have read that
- there is already a graphics card waiting for the Falcon, at alot higher
- resolution on a SuperVGA monitor.. I'm glad, I thought the resolution was to
- low to begin with..
-
- So with the proper information, software and upgrades.. Those who are
- interested in developing don't have to feel bad about it.. There is actually
- enough ST stuff to keep us happy, we just have to look for it.. Not like the
- other computer companies, that try to help the users.. I still think its worth
- it..
-
- So I'll get a Falcon, upgrade it, make some nice software and put on the
- package "REQUIRES 4 MEGAYBTES OF RAM, AND A FALCON SCREENBLASTER". With the
- DSP chip, sound quality, video and memory, I think one can make a great CD ROM
- Based game or even a Really proffessional program.. Maybe even a hardware/CD
- ROM package that can blow away the AMIGA's Video Toaster.
-
- Please tell me what you think about this, and if any of you share these visions
- with me.
