- According to a recent article on Atari in Computer Shopper (either
- March 92 or October 92), Warner, who owned majority stock in Atari (at
- the time), also had invested in the Amiga company. Jack T. was
- disposed of at Commodore and then later courted by Warner to buy most
- of Atari. After Jack T. bought it (at a very good price according to
- Computer Shopper), he persuaded many Commodore people to Atari. This
- left Commodore crippled so they bought up the Amiga. Jack T. sued on
- the basis that since Warner had a stake in Amiga so did Atari. I
- think it is true that Atari got a cash settlement, but according to
- this article the merits weren't enough such that Commodore would lose
- the Amiga.
