- I have formated both types of floppies on my floptical, _no_problem_.
- True, you must use ICD's ICDFORMAT.PRG to do it, but the floppy is correctly
- identified as a 720 Kbyte or 1.44 Mbyte hard disk (probably looks at the
- holes in the top of the diskette to determine what type of disk it is).
- After formating, the program asks how to partition the new hard drive. I
- get a kick out of _that_ one. I suppose you could partition a 720 as two
- 360's but I haven't tried it.
- I routinely format 720's in the floptical, make a single partion, and
- then move the floppy to the internal DS/DD floppy on my STe and R/W files.
- Single sided disks, 10 sector disks, and 80+ track disks are bad news to
- the floptical, however.
- BTW, I bought my floptical from Joppa computers. I believe they sell the
- floptical for 400 dollars and the floptical with LINK for 500, but please
- check with them for current pricing.
