  21. I would be careful about drawing conclusions from this survey, based on
  22. two things:  the small sample size (36?), and the self-selection of the
  23. participants.

  25. That is, 36 people out of some unknown number (probably in the thousands?)
  26. chose to respond.  Perhaps the ones who bothered responding are the ones
  27. with the most extreme opinions, not representative of the whole newsgroup
  28. readership (which, in turn, may not be representative of the whole group
  29. of Apple II owners).

  39. That was because it would take time, and the questions seemed to have
  40. a distasteful (to me) slant.  Now that I see the results are only
  41. quasi-anonymous, I'm glad I abstained.

  51. do.  Seems like I keep seeing Apple listed at or near the top of
  52. customer satisfaction surveys, though.

  58. That seems like a vast oversimplification.  Last time I read about it
  59. in the paper, many charges had been dismissed, but others were still
  60. in court.  Have I missed something?

  62. ANYWAY, I don't know of any lawsuit where Apple attempted to claim
  63. exclusive rights to graphical interfaces in general.  The real issues
  64. are specific and complicated.
