  13.         I just got the AutoArc demo, and to tell the truth, I am a bit
  14. disappointed. Andy, mayhaps you can tell me if HardPressed does a
  15. might bit better job than A.A. does! When packing a folder, such as
  16. AppleWorks GS, each file in the folder is packed individually. When
  17. it comes time to run AWGS, only the main file is called and unpacked,
  18. and then the program crashes. I would have liked to see AA check
  19. to see if AppleWorks.GS was in my archive, and then unpack the
  20. whole durn archive and run the file. As it is, I could only unpack
  21. the file that I want to address, and that doesn't save that much
  22. room in most cases. (Especially games - the things that would most
  23. likely be compressed.) Does HardPressed handle this any differently?
  24. How about TrueType Fonts? Another good candidate for packing. I
  25. don't use a lot of them, but want them at my fingertips for when
  26. I need that "perfect" typeface. With only a 20 meg HD, space really
  27. matters to me on my /system partition.

  29. Anyways, if someone is associated with Econ, maybe you can console me
  30. and tell me that if the demo was as good as the real thing, then
  31. noone would buy the real thing, and that these problems have been
  32. fixed in the release version. But more likely, I think maybe you
  33. can take back some of these ideas to make AutoArc just a bit more
  34. friendly. :-) Otherwise, I like it!
