- I know I heard Tim Swihart say there would be no _MAJOR_ new releases of GS
- system software - at KansasFest this year! He claimed (and I believe him!)
- that System 6 took about two years and many people to create - and Apple will
- simply not commit that much effort again for Apple II software.

- There will continue to be, for the immediate future, update versions of the
- OS such as the forthcoming 6.01. Basically, these releases will be for :

- a) hardware compatibility (eg. the EtherNet card - the main reason for 6.01)
- b) enhancements and fixes (as Dave Lyons (mostly) gets time!)
