- Mmm... Brendan never said that everyone should immediately mod their
- motherboards... with awareness comes solutions, and since the problem *can*
- be fixed with software, this gives one possible solution, and one that will
- work the most easily for the most people...

- Of course, some folks may use other software that doesn't compensate for the
- problem, and those folks may wish to know about the problem to find other
- solutions, whether they be hardware or otherwise...

- Brendan's research is just that -- research, and he's simply providing
- information that folks can do with as they will... and he even says himself
- that not everyone will want to, or have any need to, do the fix...
