- Who needs to go to a local store anyways? They charge too much and rip
- you off. And since they regard the IIGS in such low esteem anyways, you're
- better off shooting yourself with a gun. Of course, it might be nice to see
- what you're buying, but I have never really minded buying software from mail
- order. Its easy, quick, convienent, inexpensive, and with the Apple II mail
- order places, you'll find much better support than you would at the local
- stores.
-
- Now the biggest problem is finding a source of information about what
- is being sold on the mail orders, and thats the biggest void in the II market.
- A+ is ok, but its nearly a year behind in everything and often gives out
- incorrect information. GS+ is a great magazine, but is hard to reach and is
- bi-monthly. If the II world gains a method to get information to the all the
- users via some format, that will do far more good than having a few local
- stores carry II products.
