  19. nice fast machines for schools.

  24. And what world are you living in? The reason Apple would never sell the 
  25. rights to the II is because they're Apple. Apple is slowly realizing that 
  26. the II is a dead end, and the only reason they are still producing them is 
  27. for the educational market. Because schools can't afford to upgrade (at 
  28. least the ones in rural communities), they are stuck with their IIs. Here 
  29. at Miami, everyone I talk to had mostly IBMs, and some had Macs in school.
  30. My school had several IIs for students and teachers to use, but for class
  31. instruction they had a lab of Acorns. (Which were really nice, I was amazed
  32. at the capabilities back in '85).

  34. Does anyone know the actual sales figure of IIs for the past year? (And not 
  35. some number that you think is right!!  :-)
