  23.   Powering a quantum (or possibly any) hard drive off your disk port can be
  24. detrimental to a stock power supply.  After a few months mine refused to
  25. give the drive enough power to start up.
  26.   Now i have a heavy duty supply and i could actually use the old supply
  27. to run the drive if i could find the right connector for the drive.
