- Has always been possible to have TCP/IP and DDS on the same ATR wire.
- Now you are able to add a node that "speaks" only TCP/IP and not DDS.
- Forget the implementation specs (DDS packets with TCP/IP inside..),
- you should look at TCP/IP only.
-
- The best way is to keep the Apollos "speaking" DDS eachother, and
- "speaking" TCP to the Unix world (to the 700).
-
- Using Passwd/ETC you should remember to configure the NCS services
- also on TCP/IP (this is a default on Domain/Os 10.4..).
-
- Another reason to have TCP/IP configured on all the Apollos may be
- to use them as X-Terminal with the "Xdomain -query 700hostname"...
-
- I suggest you a couple of new manuals:
-
- Domain/HP-UX Interop. Planning Guide P/N A2087-90001
-
- Configuring and Managing Interop.
- in a Mixed Domain/Os and HP-UX Net. P/N A2087-90003
