- (This is my first attempt at writing a reply on USENET, so please bear with me).

- As far as I understand it, accessing 16-bit wide memory with a 32-bit will
- effectively halve your performance, since the processor has to fetch 32-bit each
- data segment in two 16-bit segments, doubling the amount of CPU cycles needed
- to access memory (cf. Amazing Amiga, 6(11) November 1991, 67.)
