- I, personally, like this distinction.
- I -want- a 64bit, way-tuned graphic-pipelined Copper/Blitter/Basher, and I want
- it fully documented. But I don't want AGA to slow the introduction of it down!

- And I'm very happy to no longer be reading news from pasteur at berkeley
- because -it- was down every second day (for weeks at a time, even).
- BTW, I do believe that was a Unix box....
-
- You're right, Unix reboots less than AmigaDOS, but then it takes me
- about 10 seconds to reboot, and an 030 Unix platform takes, 20 minutes?
- So my Amiga can reboot 120 time more frequently than Unix and still give me
- the same total uptime :)
-
- Different things are important to different people. If you're really hung
- up on memory protection, get Unix, get OS/2, get an operating system that
- solves your list of problems. I've -got- an operating system that solves
- my problems. If I were willing to let you change it to fix YOUR laundry
- list, it may very well be that it no longer fits mine....
-
- Now, I can understand if you said "one of the things I'd most like -added-
- to AmigaDOS is memory protection," but what you've said is that "AmigaDOS
- is utterly useless as is and I hate coming home to it everyday."
-
- Methinks, perhaps, thou hast had a bad day?
