  21.   Sorry.  The whole nature of operating systems such as Linux, Mach
  22. and BSD is that they are source released.  If CBM doesn't provide
  23. publicly accessable documentation to these people, the Amiga will just
  24. be dropped as a platform to bother to support these operating systems
  25. on.

  27.   I know that I myself have been getting real frustrated with a lot
  28. of things lately to do with operating systems/etc.  The responses to
  29. my DTR issue from a CBM employee, and a few past-employee's have just
  30. made me begin to think all over again why it is that I bother to
  31. try to support AmigaDos.

  33.   Since I have some very nice fast hardware
  34. here (A3000, etc) I have thought that it would be interesting to
  35. move to Mach (And I have been reading the amiga-mach mailing list
  36. for a long time).  I would hate to see the situation where the number
  37. of people with un-ducmented hardware platforms made writing software that
  38. supported those platforms not worth doing.  I'd hate to end up having to
  39. buy some slow EISA 486 or something due to a lack of documention on
  40. CBM's part.

  42.   It's funny that while one shared library (serial.device) gets
  43. me ticked, it's other shared libraries like xpr*.library,
  44. xferq.library, etc that keep me with the Amiga.
