- Which is exactly the problem -- Writing a new OS that keeps exec and
- layers and graphics around would be a major headache. Porting an
- existing OS would be a nightmare. At least, that's what Commodore has
- always said when asked why AMIX and AmigaDOS won't run concurrently.

- I agree, we need make the general programming public start using the OS;
- HOWEVER, C= DOES need to provide the Linux, Mach, and other alternate-OS
- people with hardware docs. Make them sign up as certifieds if you like
- so that they're covered under NDA, and even make them distribute those
- drivers binary-only if you must, but DO provide them with details.
- If you don't, nifty projects like Linux and Mach that can only help the
- Amiga will never see their full potential.
