- Actually, related to this - when I set scopts to noversion and noconsole,
- I *expect* there to be no messages. It appears, however, that the global
- optimiser doesn't know about the options in the scoptions file... it
- still fills the screen with optimiser warnings/messages. (I'll mail this
- to EMITS as a suggested enhancement soon...)
