- What's wrong with both modes? I mean, if you just write the characters on
- screen, they will show whatever there is in the font. If you do translations,
- you can easily translate all non-graphic characters to inverse video, ^<char>,
- \hh, \ooo (octal), or whatever. Make it user selectable.
