- Sorry. I thought the information was already public. When I bought it
- the basic enhancer package was $49. It included 5 disks and a set of 4
- manuals in a box. If you do not already have the 2.04 kickstart rom, the
- package with the rom is $99.
-
- Some basic information for the curious... The manuals are now bound and
- have been separated into the various subject areas; workbench, dos, arexx,
- & hard disk. They are in a box to keep them together on the shelf.
-
- Some of the commands have been deleted, since they are no longer used, as
- well as some directories. I did not make note of all of them. I do remember
- that DiskDoctor was removed as well as some of the monitor stuff. None of it
- was stuff I used in the past so I paid no attention.
-
- CrossDos has been added now. Since I already had it it was not anything
- major for me. But it will be nice for a lot of other folks.
-
- The major change I have noticed is the way devices are mounted now. There
- is a directory in the DEVS: directory called DOSDrivers. It contains a text
- file and an icon for each device to be automatically mounted. The text file
- contains what used to be in the mountlist for each device. There is a Storage
- drawar for those devices you want to mount manually later. The mountlist is
- now empty. My old mountlist was saved in an 'old' drawer. I was able to use
- it to create some entries for the new drawers. But you can still use the
- old mountlist if you desire.
-
- There were a lot of new monitor types supported, but since I am still in
- the dark ages with my 1084 I did not pay much attention to them. There is
- more support for other countries with a whole disk for 'locale'. It changed
- keyboard and font setups for a number of different languages. There was also
- some extensive PostScript support for printers.
-
- At the moment that is all I can remember of the changes. Who has the list
- that was posted earlier?
