  12. A friend of mine asked me to post the following.

  14. Some weeks ago he bought a Pandaal handscanner at the Koln CSS Amiga show.
  15. The guy at the booth said they would send him the new software (called 
  16. Daatascan 3.0) when he filled in the registration card. He gave them the
  17. card, which saved him a stamp.

  19. After a while, he still hadn't received the software. He called them but
  20. they plainly denied that they had received his registration card. He offered
  21. to send a photo-copy of the other halve of the card he still had. They
  22. said that was not possible.

  24. Of course, my friend got very annoyed. This is not a nice way to treat your
  25. customers! He's definately in a dead-end, he needs the software (the old 
  26. software does not work or has bugs, I don't know for sure), but they just
  27. won't cooperate...

  30. Is there someone who has got this new software (Daatascan 3.0) for my friend?

  33. Please, don't get me wrong. I'm not asking for pirated software. I just think
  34. my friend is *entitled* to this software. After all, he has paid for it.
  35. (Besides, what good is the software without the hardware...)

  37. If you want any proof of purchase, that's OK. (Serial number, words from
  38. the manual, whatever).
