- Just read the entry in sys.amiga.announce regarding Commodore at COMDEX. Had
- the general, expected hyping about the AGA chipset again. Noticed something
- different there...resolutions up to 1200X800!!! I thought the top was 800X600
- or 1200X400 (X512 PAL). In fact I remember a lot of people (including me)
- complaining about missing resolutions - like 1024X768 or 1200X800 - when the
- A4000 was released!
-
- Is this a typo? Did I read incorrectly? Or is 1200X800 for real?
-
- Also, I'm always running my A3000 with the deinterlace thing on. I find all the
- interlaced modes unusable without it - I'm at my computer ~8 hours a day. I've
- got a 1950 model monitor. What is the highest usable (deinterlaced) resolution
- on the A4000? Would a better monitor (like Sony) produce a better, more
- stable display with interlaced modes? If 1200X800 is stable on some monitors,
- I'd like a larger monitor than the 1950, to properly take advantage of the
- higher resolution. What monitors would fit the bill?
