- Like many people I have owned an A500 for years, (about7-8)
- and lately I really don't use it much more than once every two weeks
- for a little word proccessing. I really can't get excited like I
- used to when it comes to animation etc.. since the A500 is just sooo
- slow. I also had basically given up on AMIGA in general because
- they seemed to be dead in the water and third parties were only
- covering with expensive add-on's.
- So anyways when I saw the adds for the A4000 I actually got
- a little excited. I have always wanted to work with a video toaster
- but I have never had the money for either a toaster or a fast
- machine. Well I have a decent job at the moment but It'll be a
- while before I can make an investment of $4000 or so for a new
- machine. The thing that got me excited about the A4000 was that I
- think that I could have a lot of fun without a video toaster and
- after I had it for a while I could possibly invest in a toaster.
- My concern is how much potetial does this new chip set
- really have. (The A500 used to run some lousy software but over the
- years, the full potetial was finally realized) And also, how do you
- think the company will do finacially, is this a comeback in the
- market or a last ditch effort? So send me your oppinions and
- anything about the A4000 because I'd like to start enjoying Amiga's
- again!

- Thanx in adv.
