  38. seem to forget the big daddies... ever heard of the following:

  41. aston-tate
  42. apple
  43. borland
  44. claris
  45. etc.

  47. they all have over priced software and deserve to lose. is a spreadsheet
  48. really worth $500? and considering its been worked on since 1970?
  49. well lets see... 1992 - 1970.. 22 years.... ridiculous upgrade costs...
  50. of say $50 each year... thats $1100 that youve given then in just upgrade
  51. costs... not to mention the addition of the original cost which brings us
  52. to a grand total of $1550! and all that for a spreadsheet??!!!!!! are you
  53. crazy? i had to write a spreadsheet for a computer class 3 years ago. it
  54. wasnt fancy, but i gotta yell ya... $1550 for it is just a little far.
  55. Plus if everyone was convinced that paying $500 for software and not pirating
  56. was an ok idea i dont think shareware and freeware would have come along.

  58. support shareware and freeware. its the future. its time to tell the
  59. commercial companies where to go.
