  14. I'm looking for more info on PCMCIA as it relates to the A600, A1200, et.al.
  15. Is this slot PCMCIA 2.0 compatible?

  17. I see IBM advertising three new PCMCIA 2.0 cards for PC laptops that provide
  18. connections to:
  19.     1. Token ring
  20.     2. Ethernet
  21.     3. 3270

  23. Do these cards rely on the laptop Intel processor and MS-DOS? Are they plug-
  24. and-play in the A600/1200? (I doubt it.) Can a driver for AmigaDOS be created
  25. that would otherwise make these cards plug-and-play?

  27. In general, is any PCMCIA card (memory, modem, disk drive) directly "compatible"
  28. on any hardware platform, or are software drivers required to provide the glue
  29. between the card and the computer?

  31. One last one: if, as I suspect, the answer is that drivers are required, is
  32. C= or any third parties working on such drivers for specific cards?
