- The TV commercial of Church of the Latter Day Saints (Jesus Christ somewhere?)
- forgot the name. Anyway, a full classroom of kids all using A2000s and
- showing DPaint, the teacher asked the kids what can they do to improve the
- earth/environment? And the kids scrambled to work on the computers, but
- soon find out one kid was out on the lawn to pick up garbage, and they all
- joined them. So I guess for them, picking garbage from the lawn is better
- than playing with the Amiga :).
-
- I have also seen Amigas in various movies, and TV shows, but don't remember
- much, and they are all reported by others anyway. But I have seen a movie
- 1 year or 2 ago from Hong Kong (in Chinese, but I'm from Hong Kong), which
- they are using a 500 at home and a 2000 in the office supposedly doing
- business analysis stuff. This shocks me: although Commodore factory in
- Hong Kong produces many Amiga products, the local (HK) market is almost
- NIL, I have to really dig around just to find there are 3 dealers, and
- they are not very professional and the most people using it are for
- games. PC clones own the market there. The Amiga BBS are run by the
- "gwilo"s, which are British, Australian, or American. I found that out
- in Feb. 92 when I went back for a month.
-
- Now has anybody sighted any Amigas in a foreign film where Amiga is not
- popular at all? I think I am holding the record here. :)
