  21. Two possibilities come to mind:

  23.  1) Emacs is trying to open the file as MODE_READWRITE (ie. it first
  24. creates a new empty file, closes it, then appends stuff to it). XFH does
  25. not support this (yet?) for autocompression.
  26.  
  27.  2) Emacs depends on some of the new 2.0 packets that are unsupported.

  29. Perhaps someone could try emacs with MSH 1.30? This could rule out 2).
  30. And maybe SnoopDos could show whether 1) is the problem.
