- Two possibilities come to mind:

- 1) Emacs is trying to open the file as MODE_READWRITE (ie. it first
- creates a new empty file, closes it, then appends stuff to it). XFH does
- not support this (yet?) for autocompression.

- 2) Emacs depends on some of the new 2.0 packets that are unsupported.

- Perhaps someone could try emacs with MSH 1.30? This could rule out 2).
- And maybe SnoopDos could show whether 1) is the problem.
