  14. I may have the opportunity to get a good deal on a 3000T/040 system
  15. and am wondering about copmpatibility between it and the 4000
  16. series.  I am into lots of disc space and tape backups, so like the
  17. idea of the the tower and the 3000 SCSI chain.  But I don't want to
  18. get something that will immediately cause compatibility problems
  19. (heck, if I wanted that, I'd just keep expanding my 1000.)  Does
  20. the 3000T/040 run Amiga Dos 3.0 or 2.0*?  Are there any major
  21. differences?  Will 3.0 4000 stuff run on the 3000T?  I know it
  22. doesn't have the AGA and will probably not ever have it.  Are there
  23. any other critical differences in favor of the 4000 of which I
  24. should be aware?  Will software bought tomorrow work? I am also
  25. looking for a Fotran compiler which will take advantage of the 040
  26. chip.  Is there such a compiler, or am I stuck to using f2c?
