- I'm getting a "Battery Backed-up clock not found" response from
- setclock opt load
- in my startup-sequence.
-
- I figured that the battery needs to be replaced.
- I then proceeded to disconnect and turn my A500 over to get at the RAM
- expansion, I found out that the board is a MicroBotics M501 RAM board.
-
- I guess that the blue thing...big and barrel-like is the battery it has:
- VARTA 3/60 DK
- written on it.
-
- The only thing is that it seems soldered in place...maybe it's just a tight
- fit. I didn't want to play around too much...
-
- My question is...what's my next step?
- Do I buy a new board...seems silly and fruitless.
-
- Where can I find a new battery? What if the battery *is* soldered in place?
-
- Should I get an A501 or other better(?) RAM board?
-
- Any help is appreciated...would also prefer E-mail since I'm not on Usenet
- that often.
-
- Thanx in advance.
