- That's assuming you have a machine with an MMU taking your approach.
- I don't see PCMCIA adapters yet available on the A4000 or A3000 for
- that matter. I don't think we'll see these for a while if I guess
- right. But either way the profile still doesn't fit a normal Amiga user.
- However you are talking a very hard core hacker here, who really doesn't
- have anything to do but rip off people.. I haven't seen anyone with
- pirated Ninetendo cartridges or things like that personally. It will
- still stop people who are tempted to "copy that floppy" just because they
- can buy (or get) a utility that will. Now, with PCMCIA they can still
- do other things to get around your suggestion, but I doubt the piracy
- will be as rampant.. Think about the affordability level of someone who
- is buying an A4000 versus an A1200.. I just don't see it happening on
- such a wide scale.. PCMCIA has other benefits over floppy as well too..
- One being faster load time no doubt..
-
- Tell me has anyone here seen the rampant copying of game cartridges??
- Please tell me when and where...
