  23. On the Archimedes motherboard there are a number of links, consisting of
  24. small plastic jumpers which bridge two upright metal pins.  These can be
  25. set (jumper attached) or unset (jumper removed).  Sometimes there are 3
  26. vertical pins, and the jumper can bridge the middle pin to either of the
  27. other two (but not both at once).  Jumpers are identified by the letter
  28. J followed by a number - this will be printed onto the PCB next to each
  29. jumper.  So, if you want to swap link 3 you have to take the lid off your
  30. machine, and find J3.  If it's a two-pin link, and it's currently set,
  31. then remove the jumper.  If it's two-pin and unset, then obtain a jumper
  32. and attach it.  If it's a three-pin link, then swap the position of the
  33. jumper.
