- On the Archimedes motherboard there are a number of links, consisting of
- small plastic jumpers which bridge two upright metal pins. These can be
- set (jumper attached) or unset (jumper removed). Sometimes there are 3
- vertical pins, and the jumper can bridge the middle pin to either of the
- other two (but not both at once). Jumpers are identified by the letter
- J followed by a number - this will be printed onto the PCB next to each
- jumper. So, if you want to swap link 3 you have to take the lid off your
- machine, and find J3. If it's a two-pin link, and it's currently set,
- then remove the jumper. If it's two-pin and unset, then obtain a jumper
- and attach it. If it's a three-pin link, then swap the position of the
- jumper.
