- Tin cans and a piece of buttered string? Er, sorry.. Got carried away..
-
- Scenario:
-
- I've got a PC talking to "the net" via SLIP.
- I've got an Amiga talking to the PC via SLIP.
- I've got an Archie talking to none of them.
-
- Now the PC has an ethernet card, but it's not currently supported by
- the UNIX I'm running (386BSD) so it's not really an option for now
- (though in the long term the idea is write one, stick an ethernet card
- in both the Amiga and the ARC and leave the internet SLIP link as the
- only serial stuff in the picture). What I'd like in the Archie in the
- short term is some sort of SLIP solution that runs under RISCos. I'm
- also interested in finding out about any halfway decent ethernet cards
- so that I can go to Phase II at some point (hopefully SOON).
-
- Thanks for any help and/or advice. Oh, the ARC is an A540.
