  19. I suspect that CDFS gives an error message 'Cannot play audio disks', when
  20. you try and mount the replay CD using the Sun CD-ROM.

  22. The problem with the Sun CD-ROM is the rev. of firmware fitted in it. This
  23. problem manifests itself not only with the Acorn card, but with the Morley
  24. and Oak cards as well.

  26. Sun use Sony CDU-8012 drives, but they are fitted with two versions of the
  27. firmware depending on the age. If you do a *devices, you will see that the
  28. software revision on board the CD-ROM is displayed, along with a host of
  29. other info.

  31. If you have a CD-ROM with rev. 3.1e, then I'm afraid that it just won't work.
  32. You need to find a drive that has rev. 3.1a in it, this will work in the 
  33. Acorn world quite happily.

  35. You may also have a problem if the CDFS is loaded into ram, and not rom.
  36. I haven't been able to verify when this causes problems, as I have CDFS
  37. in rom on my Morley card, but others have reported difficulties.
