  23. I totally forgot about the deadline until it was too late, so I wrote
  24. to Acron Customer Support asking them about the upgrade. They simply
  25. sent me their standard reply which was then out of date (it gave the
  26. details of the above scheme). This I thought most useful - NOT.

  28. I suppose I might get around to writing to Acorn Direct one of these
  29. days and ask them what the latest position is. But I think it is
  30. rather off that :

  32. a) The 'offer' was limited to a fairly short period of time, and
  33.  
  34. b) Acorn didn't actually go out of their way to bring anyones
  35. attention to the matter, like actually telling anybody. I mean they
  36. spend loads of money sending you useless advertising for things you
  37. don't want, but when it comes to useful information they don't bother
  38. writing to the peoplewho bought the package do they - oh no that would
  39. be helpful. Instead they rely on people scowering the magazines for
  40. snippets of information (which usually flatly contradict each other).
