- I totally forgot about the deadline until it was too late, so I wrote
- to Acron Customer Support asking them about the upgrade. They simply
- sent me their standard reply which was then out of date (it gave the
- details of the above scheme). This I thought most useful - NOT.

- I suppose I might get around to writing to Acorn Direct one of these
- days and ask them what the latest position is. But I think it is
- rather off that :

- a) The 'offer' was limited to a fairly short period of time, and

- b) Acorn didn't actually go out of their way to bring anyones
- attention to the matter, like actually telling anybody. I mean they
- spend loads of money sending you useless advertising for things you
- don't want, but when it comes to useful information they don't bother
- writing to the peoplewho bought the package do they - oh no that would
- be helpful. Instead they rely on people scowering the magazines for
- snippets of information (which usually flatly contradict each other).
