  17. The product was sold by QD Enterprises, who used to use The Serial Port label.
  18. The Serial Port is now independent, and does not sell QD's products.  I think
  19. this needs explaining, because there is a lot of confusion about these
  20. companies:

  30. To confuse the issue, QD change labels every few months.  They used to be
  31. Vertical Twist, and some products still carry that label I think.  Now
  32. they're Leading Edge, and are trading in association with Greyhound (a major
  33. distribution company).  Look in BAU for the Leading Edge advert (I think it's
  34. a tacky little monochrome affair) and you should find the information you
  35. need.

  37. It might take a while to get any response out of QD, since (in my opinion, and
  38. I don't think I'm alone) their service stinks and they have all the
  39. professionalism of a rabid dog.

  45. I think BAU gave it a fairly good review..  it was mentioned in passing in
  46. the November issue).   The product is actually pretty good - I use one
  47. myself.  Note, that when I'm nasty about QD I am _not_ referring to their
  48. development team, who are excellent.

  50. One thing you may not realise - this is not a podule.  It plugs into the
  51. econet socket, so if you already have an econet module you have a problem.
  52. I'd also better point out that the quality of the sampler is not quite as
  53. good as dedicated (8 bit) sampler podules, but it's not far off.
