  13. Hi, I'm in need for precise information on the ULAW format of sound
  14. files.  I am attempting to create a basic speech recognition program
  15. on a SUN, so I am using .au files which use ULAW encoding.  I am 
  16. looking for a way to easily convert each sample to an integer that
  17. will be a representation of the amplitute of the sample.
  18.  
  19. If anyone has information, or knows where it can be found, please e-mail
  20. me ASAP - avoid posting I guess, this is probably a FAQ that just
  21. happens not to be on the FAQ list!
