- Sun SPARC workstations have rectangular holes in their cases and identified
- by a chain icon. I take it that these are designed to accept barbed metal
- eyelets through which security cables can be threaded to prevent/hinder
- physical removal of the workstation. Such a concept is well established in
- the UK Macintosh community, with appropriate security kits available from a
- number of sources, but almost totally unknown amongst the UK Sun community;
- Sun UK being most notable in its apparent inability to respond to my simple
- request to be referred to a security kit supplier. One representative of
- one of Sun UK's Authorised Business Centres even seemed to have difficulty
- in understanding why we should even feel it necessary to lock our work-
- stations down !
-
- Can anyone out there in Netland help me ?
-
- Thanks in anticipation, Steve
