  14. We are developing a data acquition system here at NCAR. We are
  15. seeking to develop a library of algorithms and pre-analized data
  16. to assist with development, testing and training. I am seeking
  17. algorithms for FFT, Spectral analysis (Real and Complex), power
  18. factor calculations, bearing analysis, power quality analysis,
  19. etc for this project.

  21. I am also seeking descriptions of internal data formats, to 
  22. choose a canonical format for our project, and also to
  23. develop a series of translators for other - external data
  24. sources.

  26. I will compose a library of routines and make this library
  27. availale via anonymous FTP to other developers. I will also
  28. provide a library that may only be used by educational
  29. institutions - such as ourselves. The EDU library will
  30. permit commercial sources of tools to be contributed
  31. to this educational exercise.

  38. machines - and will propagate to archive sites from there.
