  13. Hi.  We have some long-haul connections that are not behaving as
  14. well as I think they should be, and I'd like to get some long term
  15. baseline performance data on the links to see if my suspicions
  16. are correct.

  18. Does anyone have tools already put together to generate
  19. reports out of cron-scheduled 'ntpdc' billboard dumps?  The idea
  20. is to snapshot the clocks every so often and see how delay and
  21. dispersion move over the course of the day, day of the week,
  22. phase of the moon and all that.  This should be able to catch
  23. network bobbles that the usual quick 'ping' bursts don't find.

  25. Thanks for any help or suggestions you might have.  I don't know 
  26. that I've heard of NTP written up anywhere as a network diagnostic
  27. tool, if anyone can chase down any papers (usenix, sug, ietf or
  28. what have you) that would be great.
