  15.        I am having a problem configuring my ethernet card on a PS/2 model 80
  16.        I have an SMC 16 bit ethernet card.

  18.     The only problem is that the existing driver 1) doesn't recognize the
  19.     MCA ID as being a wd8003e-compatible adapter, and 2) even if it did
  20.     by, say, adding the board's MCA ID to the list of ID's at line 300 of
  21.     wd8003e.asm, it can't parse the POS registers.

  23. Far as I know, SMC didn't change the layout of the POS registers.  At least,
  24. we only added the new IDs to our linked-in driver.
