- Ok, these may be dumb questions, but ya gotta start somewhere ya know!
-
- I call via modem from my IBM/PC to the Vax at NJIT to get to the Internet.
-
- I want to be able to transfer files from my PC to my directory on the
- Vax.
-
- I am able to do this via Kermit.
-
- I would like to be able to use Ymodem or Zmodem.
-
- I did an Archie search and found plenty of FTP's where I can get Zmodem
- files.
-
- Here are the problems:
-
- Many of these FTP's are compressed with .Z or .tar
- I don't know how to uncompress them.
-
- The one's I've seen look like a bunch of pieces that I somehow have
- to compile to make them work.
- I have no idea how to do this.
-
- Is there somewhere I can just get a fully working Zmodem and FTP
- it into my directory on the Vax and use it?
-
- I'm really new at this and any help would be great! Instead of
- wasting bandwith, Email me at ANDY@EIES2.NJIT.EDU if you would!
-
- Thanks!
