- I downloaded wnqvtnet 3.03 and got it running OK over ethernet and
- like it very much. However, I'm having some troubles running it
- over SLIP with both the ETHERSL and SLIP8250 Crynwr packet drivers.
- (I've got a Sun Sparc1+ running SunOS4.1.1 on the other side of the
- SLIP link)
-
- With one of the packet drivers (I don't recall which right at the
- moment), I get many of the following on the console:
- IP:bad version number
- and a few packet checksum errors.
-
- With the other packet driver, I get a lot of:
- IP:fragmented packet received, frags not support
- IP:bad version number
-
- Does anyone have any suggestions? What should be used for mtu and
- segment size values? I've used this same SLIP link with KA9Q and
- the Cutcp (NCSA) stuff. It works OK with them although performance
- isn't that hot.
-
- My equipment and software:
- Sun Sparc1+ with SunOS4.1.1
- running slip version slip-4.1.1
- NEC Powermate 386 running DOS5.0 and MSWindows3.1
- Telebit T1600 modems on both sides (9600 baud)
- wnqvtnet 3.03
- Either ETHERSL or SLIP8250 p.d. from Crynwr
