  14.   o What is TCP/IP?
  15.     (Every month or so, someone posts under the belief that TCP/IP is either
  16.     a single-vendor suite, or that it offers the same services as NetWare,
  17.     Vines, LanMan, etc.  A one-paragraph description of TCP/IP would help
  18.     avoid this.)
  19.   o I have a network.  How do I connect it to the Internet?
  20.     (A reference to an answer elsewhere is probably sufficient here.)
  21.   o What is a packet driver?  NDIS driver?  ODI driver?
  22.   o Is there a way to redirect my serial port to a TCP connection?
  23.   o Is there a way to redirect my printer to a remote printer?  Using lpd?
  24.   o Where can I get an lpd server?
  25.   o Where can I get an NFS client?
  26.   o Where can I get an NFS server?
  27.   o Why are there no free NFS clients?
  28.   o What NNTP news readers are available for MS-DOS?  For Windows?
  29.   o How can outside users run software on my computer under MS-DOS?

  31.   o I'm running a telnet program but I can't telnet to my computer, even

  40. I'd also suggest splitting the TCP/IP questions into free and commercial,
  41. since many questions are looking specifically for one category or the other.

  43. Would it be worth having a list of names, addresses, phone numbers, and
  44. e-mail addresses for vendors?  That would answer the perpetual question,
  45. "How do I contact the authors of WinQVT/net?", as well as the less-frequent
  46. questions about "How do I contact vendor XXX?".
