- IBM sells a (ahem) wonderful product to do this, the Workstation Data Save
- Facility. Allows you to back up DOS, AIX, OS/2, SunOS and Mac clients
- to a central VM mainframe. The follow-on product, DFSMS, supports the same
- clients and both VM and MVS mainframes.
-
- Backup and restore are completely automatic; you can retrieve previous versions
- of files; both disk and offline media are supported in a storage hierarchy;
- etc. Designed to back up all your PCs and workstations without strain.
