- When I started CS classes at University of Florida, the COrequisite classes
- were Intro to Computer Architecture (assembler) and Intro to Computer Software
- (Pascal). It made for a rough semester, but it did manage to make me aware
- of both the high and low ends of the software game.
-
- IMHO, the first class being a high-level language (Pascal) is good, since most
- people entering have had some experience like BASIC, and need a good dose of
- strong structured programming to get them on the right track. Then some
- assembler and/or C classes.
